Obiettivi formativi
Lo studente sarà in grado di analizzare e interpretare con terminologia adeguata la distribuzione e l'evoluzione sincronica i testi letterari e figurativi oggetto dell'insegnamento, studiandone fonti e fortuna, applicando a ciascuno di essi l'opportuna metodologia critica, inquadramento storico e stilistico, decifrandone in senso comparatistico interazioni, intersecazioni, trasversalità, e presentando infine i risultati in corretta forma orale.
The student will be able to analyze and interpret the synchronic evolution and circulation of the literary and artistic text proposed during the course, giving proof of an adequate ability of interpretation and an adequate terminology. The student will deepen his/her knowledge of the sources and of the success of these texts and he/she will analyze them according to the appropriate criticism methodology, as well as to the historical and stylistic background. The student will be able to understand, according to the methodology of Comparative literature, the interactions, theintersections and the analogies, presenting the result of his/her study in an adequate oral form.

Al termine dell'insegnamento lo studente dovrà dimostrare un'adeguata conoscenza delle principali tematiche figurative e delle opere letterarie, fonti teoriche e critiche analizzate durante il corso. Dovrà inoltre dimostrare capacità di analisi e commento dei testi figurativi e letterari presentati a lezione. Dovrà essere inoltre in grado di applicare le metodologie interpretative apprese ad altre opere e ad altri testi assimilabili a quelli esaminati a lezione.
At the end of the course the student should prove to posses an adequate knowledge of the main artistic topics and of the relative literary works,and of both the theoretical and the criticism sources ,which will be analyzed during the course. Furthermore, he/she should prove able to analyze and comment the artistic and literary works which will be studied during the course. The student should also be able to apply the interpretative methodologies he/she will learn during the course to other artworks and other texts, similar to those analyzed in class.

Lezioni della durata di 36 ore complessive (6 CFU), che si svolgono in aula, in forma frontale, anche con l'ausilio di proiezioni.
Lessons will last for a total amount of 36 hours (corresponding to 6 CFU). They will be held in class, and there will also be shown images of the most relevant artworks.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
Conoscenze e capacità previste saranno verificate attraverso un colloquio orale. La preparazione sarà considerata adeguata (con votazione espressa in trentesimi) se lo studente dimostrerà le seguenti capacità:
- esposizione accurata e approfondita dei contenuti appresi, con padronanza lessicale e tecnica;
- rielaborazione articolata dei contenuti dell'insegnamento;
- eventuale applicazione autonoma ad altri testi delle conoscenze e della metodologia acquisite.
The exam consists of an extensive interview which aims at testing the student's acquisition of an adequate knowledge of the main topics, literary works and sources presented in the course.
Assesment will consist of an oral test. In order to pass the test (grade out of 30) students will have
to fulfill the following requirements:
- accurate explanation of the course's subject, in an appropriate and specific language;
- personal elaboration of the subject matter;
- ability to apply the aquired methods and knowledge to other texts.

Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello e il Rinascimento italiano come soggetto letterario tra Illuminismo e Romaticismo. Da Lessing a Goethe.
Il corso intende illustrare lo sviluppo teoretico e culturale dell'analisi letteraria di Leonardo e Raffaello e la loro ricezione tra Illuminismo e Romanticismo all'interno di un percorso che si sviluppa attraverso Goethe (vedi il saggio critico sul Cenacolo di Santa Maria delle Grazie) e molti altri scrittori e intellettuali non solo di area germanica.
Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael and Italian Renaissance as literary subject between Enlightenment and Romanticism. From Lessing to Goethe.
The course aims at illustrating the theoretical and cultural development of Leonardo's and Raphael's literary analysis and reception between Enlightenment and Romanticism. It is the case of Goethe's works (see the critical essay on Leonardo's Last Supper at Milan, Santa Maria delle Grazie), and of many other writers, not only in the German-speaking countries, whose effects, even among the most educated readers, in many cases were strengthened and enforced by etched and published images.

The exam program for 6 CFU includes three texts among those suggested above, and one should be in a foreign language. For more than 6 CFU the students should contact the professor prior to the exam.
