Obiettivi formativi
L'insegnamento intende presentare agli studenti un'introduzione critica ai problemi esegetici della letteratura greca; in particolare, gli studenti acquisiranno le conoscenze e le indicazioni metodologiche necessarie per leggere e interpretare criticamente i testi dei principali autori giambici.
The course aims to offer to the students a critical introduction to the exegetical problems of the Greek literature; in detail students will acquire knowledge and methods which are necessary to read and interpret in a critical way the texts of the iambic poetry .

Risultati dell'apprendimento attesi
Al termine dell'insegnamento lo studente dovrà dimostrare:
1) di conoscere i lineamenti fondamentali della letteratura greca dalle origini fino al V secolo a.C. e di padroneggiare la traduzione dei testi indicati nella parte istituzionale del programma;
2) di comprendere, offrendone una puntuale traduzione, di inquadrare in una prospettiva storico-letteraria e di discutere criticamente i testi presentati a lezione.
At the end of the course the students are required to prove that
(1) they know the fundamental features of the Greek Literature from its origins to the fifth century BC and master the translation of the texts indicated in the institutional part of the course
(2) they are able to understand, to translate precisely, to frame in an historical-literay perspective and to discuss in a critical way the texts presented during the lessons.- Oggetto:

Lezioni della durata di 36 ore complessive (6 CFU), che si svolgono in aula in forma frontale.
36 hours long lessons at all (6 CFU); the lessons are given in classrooms and are frontal.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
Conoscenze e capacità previste saranno verificate mediante un colloquio (almeno due domande sui testi oggetto dell'insegnamento e sulla loro contestualizzazione storico-letteraria e una domanda su una delle letture critiche presentate durante le lezioni; almeno due domande sulla parte istituzionale) volto a mettere in luce se e in quale misura lo studente abbia raggiunto i risultati dell'apprendimento attesi.
The expected knowledge and skills will be verified by means of an oral examen (at least two questions about the texts examined in the course and one question about the critical readings presented during the lessons; at least two questions about the Greek literature and the texts). The aim is to bring out if and how much students reached the expected learning outcomes.

Programma
La poesia giambica.
L'insegnamento sarà dedicato alla lettura critica dei principali autori della poesia giambica.
Il programma d'esame comprende quanto svolto a lezione. L'elenco definitivo dei passi tradotti e analizzati durante le lezioni sarà fornito alla fine dell'insegnamento e pubblicato sul sito.
Il programma del corso aggregato di Letteratura greca comprende inoltre: 1) lo studio della storia letteraria greca dalle origini al V secolo a. C. compreso, con letture antologiche in italiano (i manuali utilizzabili e i principali autori oggetto d'esame saranno illustrati durante le prime lezioni del primo modulo ed elencati nel materiale didattico del corso); 2) lettura in lingua originale di un canto di Iliade o Odissea e di 600 versi (consecutivi) di una tragedia euripidea a scelta.
Gli studenti di corsi iscritti a corsi di laurea diversi da Lettere indirizzo antico potranno sostituire la lettura dei testi in lingua originale con le letture critiche che saranno indicate durante le lezioni.
Gli studenti che non conoscono la lingua greca e intendano intraprenderne lo studio sono invitati a una riunione, preliminare a successivi incontri seminariali, che si terrà nella seconda metà di settembre. Gli interessati possono scrivere alle docenti per ulteriori informazioni.
The iambic poetry
The subject of the course will be the iambic poetry.
The final examen will be about the issues dealt with during the course. The list of the passages translated and analised during the course will be given at the end of the lessons and published on the website.
The programme of the aggregate course "Greek literature" includes also:
1) knowledge of the Greek literary history from its origins to the fifth century BC including, with anthological readings in Italian language (the handbooks usable and and the most important authors subject of examination will be illustrated during the first lessons of the first module and put on the list of the course teaching material);
2) reading in their original language of a Iliad's or Odyssey's book and of 600 consecutive lines from a Euripides' tragedy at the choise of the student.
The students enrolled in degree programs different from Classics are allowed to replace the reading of texts in their original language with critical readings which will be indicated during the lessons.
The students which don't know Greek language and want to start studying it are invited to a first preliminary meeting in the first half of September. It will be followed by other seminar meetings. For those interested it is possible to write to the teachers for additional information.
