Obiettivi formativi
Il corso traccerà l’evoluzione del racconto americano dal primo Ottocento ai giorni nostri, ponendo in rilievo le varie caratteristiche narrative e tematiche ed evidenziando i contesti letterari e culturali.
This course will trace the evolution of the American short story from the early Nineteenth century to the present, focusing on thematic and formal aspects and on the essential literary and cultural contexts.

Students will also analyze four additional stories independently and these stories will be included in their final exam. The lessons will be conducted with the use of audiovisual aids.
