Vivere 120 anni. Morte e immortalità nel postmoderno
Attraverso l'esame di classici e di testi contemporanei si discuterà la questione se vivere 120 anni, come è teoricamente possibile, costituisca un obiettivo auspicabile o non sia piuttosto un modo per nascondersi la morte e la necessità di imparare a morire. Il corso si svolgerà in forma seminariale. I contenuti delle relazioni e il calendario saranno stabiliti all'inizio del seminario con i partecipanti. Per sostenere l'esame gli studenti dovranno partecipare regolarmente e attivamente al seminario nonché presentare nel corso di questo una relazione orale il cui argomento sarà concordato tra i partecipanti nelle riunioni iniziali. Il colloquio in occasione dell'appello di esame verterà su una valutazione della relazione e su una breve discussione del temi trattati nel corso. Chi sostiene un esame da 6 CFU è inoltre tenuto a portare all'esame Daniela Steila Vita/Morte, il Mulino 2009.
Life until 120 years. Death and Immortality in the Postmodernism
Through the analysis of classical and contemporary texts, we will discuss the question whether reaching 120 years old (which theoretically is possible) is a a desirable aim, or it would rather be an attempt to hide from death and the necessity of learning to die. The course will have the form of a seminar, in which the students will discuss recent philosophical papers on the topic. In order to give the final exam the students have to regularly attend the course and actively participate; each student will be requested to do a oral presentation. The content of the presentations and the time schedule will be established at the beginning of the course. The final viva will concern the argument of the presentation and more generally the topic touched upon during the course. For a 6 CFU exam the viva will concern also Daniela Steila Vita/Morte, Il Mulino 2009.
